Ballpark Recordings' Opius has created a signature sound in dnb through prolific drum rolls and intricate drum edits. In "Freq of Nature," this signature is tailored to Pinecone Moonshine with inharmonic pads and sparsely used jazz elements. "Skin Deep" shifts into a more soulful tone where dissonance plays off the uplifting pads. Echoes of "don't stop" seem to be encouraging the drummer to keep going through a frenzied drum roll.

Nic TVG's "Have Mercy" remix approaches "Skin Deep" with similar intensity. Harmonies have been stretched into colliding layers of drone.
