about

Paluca’s “The Art is Getting Older” steps away from the expected Drum and Bass progressions. This EP has a cinematic feel with long passages dedicated to sound effects taking time to build back to the percussion.

Hello, Eraserhead opens with two piano chords and muted, sparse drums. The track remains sparse introducing discordant strings and distorted lo-fi effects. Changes in passages are like exploring a dusty, abandoned house room by room.

Choosing the Right Answer surges with energy reaching an early crescendo. The main hook is bold, almost sounding like an electric guitar, and clearly a synthesizer pushed to the limit.

The Art of Living Without a Head is sequenced like two drummers trading turns trying to outperform the other with heavily syncopated patterns. The pads or strings and other effects seemingly reacting to the changes in pacing.

Pinecone Moonshine Portland, Oregon

Run by Nic TVG, Pinecone Moonshine is a collection of Drumfunk (drum and bass) and other abstract and ambient music.

See the neocities link below for the demo policy.

Majority of the tracks are melancholy collages of noise, heavily processed samples, and atmospherics driven by broken break beats and heavy sub. Free jazz, early electronics, blues, and funk are noticeable influences.
